Governing Council
The Governing Council consists of the President and five Directors, all appointed by the Great and General Council.
Board members serve five-year terms and are eligible for re-election for one additional term.
The Governing Council holds the authority for the direction and management of the Central Bank.
Among its responsibilities, the Council prepares the Budget and submits it to the Assembly along with its own report. It also appoints the Managing Director, members of the Supervision Committee, the Deputy Director, managers, and officers, and makes decisions regarding personnel hiring. Additionally, the Council oversees regulatory supervision.
Education
She graduated cum laude in Law from the University of Bologna and holds a Troisième Cycle from the Institut des Hautes Études Internationales in Nice, along with a specialization from the College of Law in London.
She is licensed to practice law in both Italy and England & Wales.
Professional Experience
She was a Partner at Allen & Overy, a leading magic circle firm in London, where she coordinated the project finance department in Italy.
Since 2011, she has been a partner at BonelliErede, one of Italy's top law firms, where she heads the Infrastructure, Energy, and Project Finance department. She has chaired banks and listed companies and has extensive experience in the legal, banking, finance, and management sectors.
Current positions
Since May 9, 2018, she has served as the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino.
Education
He graduated in Law from the University of Bologna and is licensed to practice as a lawyer and notary public in the Republic of San Marino.
Professional experience
He has been a freelance lawyer and notary public in San Marino since 2009. From 2013 to 2015, he was a member of the Disciplinary Commission for Public Servants of the Republic of San Marino. Between 2012 and 2013, he served as a member of the Supervisory Commission of the Republic of San Marino, and from 2011 to 2012, he worked as a consultant for the Secretariat of State for Finance of the Republic of San Marino, focusing on tax reform and tax litigation.
Current positions
Since May 22, 2015, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino, and he has held the position of Vice President since March 2019.
Education
He graduated in Law from the University of Palermo with honors and a mention of publication for his thesis in commercial law. He obtained a legal practice license in Italy and specialized in tax and banking law.
Professional experience
From 2004 to 2011, he gained experience in civil and commercial law matters as an independent lawyer, while also developing expertise in the field of banking regulation and coordinating compliance activities.
From 2011 to 2014, he served as Head of the Legal Department at Erba Vita S.p.A.
He worked as an official in the Tax Office of San Marino from 2014 to 2019, holding increasingly important roles, including Head of the Direct Tax Assessment Sector, Head of the Direct Tax Control Sector, San Marino’s delegate to the OECD for the BEPS project, and negotiator for several double taxation agreements with various countries.
He was Director of the Purchasing, General Services, and Logistics Department from 2019 to 2022.
From 2022 to 2024, he was involved in the development of an innovative San Marino-based startup in the blockchain sector, sharpening he’s skills in "digital assets".
Current positions
Since March 3, 2025, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino.
Education
After earning a diploma in accounting, he specialized through training courses in budget development and analysis at SDA Bocconi in Milan, as well as project management at CEGOS.
Professional experience
He has held various positions within the Banca di San Marino S.p.A. Group.
Since 1986, he has worked at Colombini S.p.A. as Administrative Manager, and later at Colombini Group S.p.A. as CFO (Chief Financial Officer).

Since January 17, 2022, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino.
Education
He graduated with honors in Law from the University of Naples.
Professional experience
He gained significant supervisory experience at the Bank of Italy until 2007, including overseeing extraordinary procedures and compulsory administrative liquidation. From 2007 to 2016, he served as Head of the Off-Site Supervision Service at the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino and was a member of the Supervision Coordination Committee. Since 2016, he has served on the boards of several Italian banks, including Banca Interprovinciale di Modena and Banca Emilveneta. He has authored publications for the website www.dirittobancario.it and has conducted seminars at the Catholic University of Milan.
Currently, he is senior manager at R.by.C. S.r.l., an auditing firm based in Rome.

Since February 23, 2021, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino.
Education
He has a Master Degree in Economic Sciences.
Professional experience
From 2005 to 2022, he worked in the San Marino banking sector, where he gained experience primarily in the Finance sector.
Since 2022, he has been employed by Geko Gold San Marino S.p.A. as the Administrative Manager.

Since February 7, 2025, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino.
