The Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino is responsible for collecting statistical data and other information from supervised entities. This activity occurs both at pre-established intervals and in response to specific needs.
After verification and validation, the data forms the foundation for supervisory activities. Some data are aggregated and processed for statistical purposes, which are either published on the website or in CBSM publications. Additionally, certain data are shared with international contacts and included in global financial system statistics.

In recent years, the San Marino banking and financial system has evolved by integrating traditional retail and private banking services with new products and offerings, leading to a progressive diversification of services. This shift is partly a response to the global financial market crisis. The sector's dynamism is further evidenced by initiatives in asset management and insurance.

Final data, however, are published in the "Final Report on the Activities Carried Out and the Performance of the Financial System."
