e-GDDS
The Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS) is an advanced statistical data dissemination system established in 2015 to support countries in improving data transparency, fostering statistical development, and creating strong synergies between data dissemination and surveillance. The e-GDDS replaced the General Data Dissemination System (GDDS), launched by the International Monetary Fund in December 1997, which San Marino had been a part of since April 2008.
The goals of the e-GDDS are to:
-
encourage member countries to enhance data quality;
-
provide a framework for assessing data improvement needs and setting priorities;
-
guide member countries in disseminating comprehensive, timely, accessible and reliable economic, financial and socio-demographic statistics to the public.
The e-GDDS also provides a pathway to the higher-level data dissemination standard, the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS). For more information, please visit the official e-GDDS website.
The statistics produced by each national agency are published on the National Summary Data Page (NSDP), the national portal through which users can directly access data in Excel and SDMX formats, as well as the documentation supporting the compilation of these statistics.
The Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino contributes to the NSDP by providing the following statistics:
