Financial Soundness Indicators (FSI)
The data related to the Financial Soundness Indicators (FSI), processed and published according to the methodology defined with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), represent the reclassified income statement and balance sheet of the San Marino banking system, along with certain re-aggregations of balance sheet data. These re-aggregations are used to calculate synthetic indicators that assess the soundness of the banking system. These indicators are essential for both macroprudential surveillance of the system’s stability and for providing transparency to external analysts.
In collaboration with IMF experts, 17 key indicators were identified for the San Marino banking system, covering the performance of the main technical aspects of banks, such as capital adequacy, credit risk, liquidity, and profitability.
