The Central Bank announces the publication on the Women’s World Banking website of the first part of an interview with four Governors and Presidents of Central Banks, including the President, Attorney Catia Tomasetti.
The Central Bank recalls that, in recent years, there have been awareness campaigns on gender equality in the workplace. However, despite this increased awareness, the percentage of women holding senior positions remains extremely low. In Central Banks, in fact, only 14 women occupy the highest positions. In the first part of the interview, four of them highlight not only the obstacles that hinder women's career advancement but also the key qualities and skills that women have successfully promoted in their leadership roles: managing and reassessing diversity in pursuit of an inclusive and equitable work environment.
