The Financial Intelligence Agency (AIF), established within the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino, is seeking new professionals to join its staff.
The open positions are as follows:
- (Ref. No. 26.2.A) the AIF Financial Intelligence Service, which is primarily responsible for analyzing transactions suspected of money laundering or terrorist financing; operational collaboration with foreign financial intelligence units; operational collaboration with judicial authorities; the police forces, and other public authorities and agencies with oversight functions; strategic analysis to identify trends and suspicious patterns of money laundering and terrorist financing; and analysis of related risks; more specifically, with regard to this service, AIF is seeking individuals to work in operational financial analysis (analysis of transactions suspected of money laundering and terrorist financing) and strategic analysis (data analysis using software, including databases and data warehouses) and the drafting of the related analytical reports;
- (Ref. Code 26.2.B) AIF’s Legal and Regulatory Department, which is primarily responsible for drafting secondary legislation, legal opinions, proposals for regulatory amendments, and administrative sanction procedures; This Department is also involved in managing, from a regulatory perspective, the Register of Beneficial Ownership of Legal Entities and in liaising with other authorities of the Republic of San Marino, foreign authorities, and international organizations.
