The Central Bank announces the publication of the fee schedule for secretarial rights, as provided under Article 21 of Regulation No. 2019-01, for the investigative activities carried out by the Supervisory Department upon request by private parties who are not already subject to supervision under Delegate Decree No. 117/2006, as amended.
Specifically, the application of these fees pertains to:
- authorization requests;
- requests for opinions;
- interpretative questions on existing regulations.
The fee amounts take into account the complexity of the documentation to be reviewed, as well as the associated administrative time and costs incurred in processing the requests.
The authorization procedures to which the fees apply are summarized below.

Regarding requests for opinions or interpretative queries, it is clarified that these do not include ordinary inquiries for assistance or clarification on the correct application of current supervisory provisions, regardless of the addressee, as such requests do not entail the activities of study, analysis, research, or exegesis.
In all cases where the aforementioned administrative fees are established, it is further stipulated that CBSM shall initiate the investigative process only upon receipt of the applicable fees.
With this initiative, the Central Bank aims to further promote the priority needed for cost recovery by the Institution, given the significant allocation of qualified resources in the analysis and evaluation of authorization requests and/or opinion requests submitted by private entities.
