The Quarterly Information Bulletin, updated as of June 30, 2026, has been published.
In the second quarter of 2026, the process of strengthening the technical aspects of the banking system continued.
The number of market participants remains constant, but international relations—particularly with other supervisory authorities—are being further consolidated.
From a legislative and regulatory perspective, the period under review saw the issuance of a new Circular updating the supervisory framework regarding financial statements.
Compared to March 31:
a) total deposits increased by over 240 million euros, corresponding to a 3.4% rise;
b) loans to customers also remained essentially stable (-1% on a gross basis and +0.2% on a net basis), but with a further improvement in the NPL ratio, which fell by an additional 1.4% on a gross basis (reaching 14.7%) and by an additional 0.4% on a net basis (reaching 10.6%);
c) the banking system’s equity increased by 0.6% as a result of all banking institutions reporting a profit at year-end and the partial capitalization of that profit.
