On March 20, 2025, the Secretariat of State for Finance and Budget in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in San Marino, hosted the conference titled "Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Education: Italy and San Marino - Experiences and Best Practices in Line with European and International Standards" at the Teatro Titano.
During the event, the discussion focused on the dynamic nature of challenges associated with anti-money laundering (AML) and the prospects for regulatory and operational collaboration between Italy and San Marino. As the financial sector continues to evolve, it is crucial to regularly update supervisory measures and strengthen regulatory integration with international best practices.
The Managing Director of CBSM, Dr. Andrea Vivoli, spoke at the opening conference and participated in the third panel, alongside representatives from the Bank of Italy and the Guardia di Finanza. He delved into the role of the Central Bank within the integrated framework of AML controls and addressed the topic of crypto-assets and financial education, focusing on the risks stemming from their growing use and the regulatory strategies implemented to mitigate them.
