IMF and WB Constituency Annual Meeting (Tirana)

The Central Bank of San Marino participated in the sixth Constituency Meeting of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, held in Tirana on February 12, 2024. The meeting provided an opportunity for the delegations of the six countries in the Constituency—Albania, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, and San Marino—to meet. Also present were Federico Giammusso, Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund, and Matteo Bugamelli, Executive Director at the World Bank Group.

The discussions covered a range of topics, including the economic and financial policies of the IMF and World Bank, the reorganization of lending procedures to improve efficiency, recent developments at both institutions, the impact of artificial intelligence on the economy, and the potential for exploiting Africa's energy and mineral resources for development.
