In April 2024, CBSM met with a delegation from the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) during the IMF and WB Spring Meetings. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for bilateral collaboration to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was laying the groundwork for a Memorandum of Understanding, which officially came into force on June 3, 2024. The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation in information exchange for supervisory purposes and the promotion of emerging Fintech and Blockchain technologies, marking a significant step in enhancing CBSM's international relations.
