The Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino announces that, in order to facilitate repeated sanitation procedures of its premises, its offices will be closed on Monday, March 16 – to both the public and staff – as follows:


  • Via del Voltone 120: full-day closure;
  • SUMS Palace (Department of Tax Collection and Treasury): the office will remain open to the public from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

Starting Tuesday, March 17, all Central Bank offices will be open to the public in compliance with Decree-Law No. 51 of March 13, 2020. Therefore, only a limited number of staff will be present. In this regard, and as recommended by the current regulations, it is essential to visit in person only for operations that cannot be conducted by phone or email.

 

Finally, it is recalled what is stipulated in Article 12, paragraph 3, of Decree Law No. 51/2020:

"3. For the entire period of validity of the extraordinary containment measures provided for by this Decree-Law, possibly extended as a result of subsequent regulatory acts with similar content and purpose, the deadlines for the following proceedings and/or activities falling within the competence of the Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino are suspended:

(a) sanction proceedings, including the deadlines for initiation, endoprocedural and imposition deadlines;

b) applications for authorization provided for by Law No. 165 of November 17, 2005 and the respective implementing regulations of the Central Bank;

(c) delivery of inspection reports referring to ongoing inspection activities;

(d) feedback to other Authorities and/or Public Administration Offices pursuant to current laws and/or Memoranda of Understanding;

(e) registrations, suspensions or cancellations in the Rolls or Registers it maintains;

(f) filings, notifications and the public auctions of the Single Tax Collector Service;

(g) periodic publication of data, statements and reports, including the Annual Report to the Great and General Council."
