Clarifications regarding recent press reports

The Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino (CBSM), in response to certain articles published today in the local press, wishes to provide the following clarifications in order to safeguard the integrity of the banking and financial system:

• Dr. Gian Luca Belluzzi has never assumed the position of President of the CBSM's Board of Auditors, having formally declined the appointment for personal and professional reasons; the role of President of the CBSM's Board of Auditors has been and continues to be carried out without interruption by Pier Angela Gasperoni;

• any public statements made by Dr. Belluzzi regarding the alleged instability of our banking institutions are to be considered entirely unfounded.

The resilience of the San Marino's banking system, in addition to being regularly confirmed by international bodies and credit rating agencies, is further demonstrated by the continued strengthening of its technical profiles recorded over the past three years, as detailed in the data published periodically by CBSM on its website and, most recently, in the Quarterly Information Bulletin reported as of 12/31/2024.
